EPSS FAQ

 1. What is happening to Essential Protection Service Suite (EPSS)?

The EPSS bundle will be officially retired on August 1, 2025. After this date, its SKUs will be no longer available for purchase.

2. Why is EPSS being retired?

To simplify our offerings and provide a single, comprehensive bundle for threat prevention. Customers and partners can now focus on one solution: Advanced Protection Service Suite (APSS)

3. When will the change take effect?

The retirement is scheduled for August 1, 2025. The related SKUs will be removed from the August price list.

4. What should partners do to prepare?

  • Inform customers about the upcoming retirement of EPSS.
  • Review current subscriptions and begin migrating to APSS – See #5 below.
  • Reach out to your SonicWall Account Manager for support with specific customer scenarios 

5. What are the replacement options?

  • Advanced Protection Service Suite (APSS): Comprehensive threat prevention, simplified licensing, low total cost of ownership.

7. What happens if customers don’t transition in time?

Customers with active EPSS subscriptions can continue to use the services until their renewal date. After that, they’ll need to switch to APSS
